As a parent I am blessed to have three healthy children who have the potential to achieve well in life, I am always seeking to provide them with a good learning platform that can help them to move forward in life. I truly believe that education does not stop at the school gate but needs to be supported outside of the school and into the home, no matter what level your children’s learning needs are.

I was searching for a system to help keep my kids above water and Lauren helped me do this, she has the inner wisdom, insight and passion that our children need. Lauren has the ability to see what others don’t.

Lauren’s passion and insight to learning has helped guide me, and my children through the challenges we face as learners. Lauren has so much energy and enthusiasm it becomes infectious, she has a way of making the children believe in themselves and gain the confidence they need to be good learners. My children LOVE LEARNING with Lauren and that in a nut shell is what it is all about.

In life we need a great mentor, teacher, and friend to help guide us to greatness and can I say Lauren is all of the above for my children. I do not hesitate in referring Lauren to anybody and I do it with great confidence, she is the answer to all our prayers!

“Bek” is presently achieving above average results in all her academic studies. While this was not the aim of sending her to Lauren, it is a welcome change from her past results that were very adjacent to the bottom of her grade. Why? Simple. Her weaknesses had not been detected and corrected in her first school years. The outcome was she could not grasp concepts in maths before the class had moved on. Her knowledge of spelling and its rules was close to zero. She had slipped through “the cracks”. We had decided to seek assistance with her base knowledge and address the problems to make her school life easier. Long hours tutoring was not the answer. Rather targeted effective tutoring with selected strategies was. We have to say that the methodologies, logic and review processes employed by Lauren worked. While we are not experts in education, we can see differences in Bek's school results, outlook, depth and breadth of knowledge and overall confidence in a great many aspects of her life. The short bursts of concentrated effort with Lauren, whom she enjoys interacting with personally; yielded results above what we had set as being targets. On top of that, Bek has been learning “how to learn” and that per se is invaluble.

Lauren’s teaching is professional, challenging and relevant to the educational expectations of children.  Our experience with Lauren has shown that she never has an attitude of “one size fits all.” She has developed a program primarily suited to our childs needs and has encouraged a love of learning in the imaginative lessons that she gives.  Lauren is always thoroughly prepared.  She has proven to be a wonderful motivator for our daughter.

Hosting a mathematics information session delivered by Lauren Heaydon has probably been the single smartest thing I have done for my children. All I did was make coffee and take notes, Lauren did the rest. In two hours I gained important yet simple strategies to help close the gaps that I felt my children had. I couldn’t believe how simple and fun she made the session seem.

Within two weeks of implementing her strategies and language of mathematics my sons have gone from reluctant maths learners to full of confidence and engaged in learning. Where has this woman been hiding? She’s the Shire’s best kept secret. Thanks Lauren.
